Im starting a york 210 compressor install and was wondering about the oil fix I have read about. Ive read alot about just going in and plugging the oil way to the suction side so I did. Then i ran across some posts saying if you do that then you need to vent the crank case.

I was  wondering how many have done this without venting the case or if you did how did you?

Ive heard that If you got one of those unloader check valves that will do the trick but wasnt sure.

Or if im using a filter anyway does it really matter if I plug the hole or not?

You have to vent the crankcase somewhere, or it will stay pressurized and blow oil.

Not sure what an unloader is. Brad may know. Venting off one of the side ports is best.

An unloader won't work. You need to vent the fill hole.
