I have a few York pumps sitting around that I am going to make one good one out of. The problem is that one of them has a steel/cast upper body. Would you think that it would be better to keep that pump and use its parts, Or just keep it all aluminum? I mean how old is this pump. I have only found one anywhere I have looked that is steel/cast. Comments welcomed!

The aluminum pumps is all we use. The cast ones are too heavy. Age? Back in the 1800's sounds about right. ;-)

So what your saying is that they started to make them out of aluminum due to the fact that they needed cast metals for WWI. lol!
